Summer is in full bloom at Van Gogh Europe…
Summer held a special significance for Vincent van Gogh, inspiring some of his most vivid and expressive works. During his time in Arles, he was captivated by the intensity of the southern sun, the golden wheatfields, and the long days filled with colour and light. Paintings such as Sunflowers, The Harvest, Summer Evening, and his sweeping landscapes reflect the warmth, abundance, and vitality of the season.
As we settle into the sunny months of June, July, and August, that same sense of energy and inspiration can be felt across the Van Gogh Europe network. From new partnerships and fresh ideas to exciting collaborations and upcoming gatherings, there is much happening throughout our community.
We’re preparing to welcome familiar and new faces at our next live Van Gogh Europe partner meeting on 5 and 6 October 2026, while working groups continue to develop innovative projects and strengthen connections across borders. Alongside updates from our partners, there are plenty of opportunities to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and build on our collective ambitions.

Spring held deep symbolic meaning for Vincent van Gogh, representing renewal, hope, and new beginnings. For Van Gogh, spring was both an artistic inspiration and a metaphor for emotional and spiritual rebirth.
As the season of renewal begins, fresh energy is flowing through the Van Gogh Europe network. From exciting upcoming meetings and inspiring partner events to new collaborations and key transitions within the board, there’s a lot unfolding behind the scenes.
We’re welcoming new voices, saying a heartfelt farewell to a longstanding colleague, and building momentum with innovative ideas, from student collaborations to international projects and creative partnerships.
